Maltese marathon swimmer Neil Agius began a planned 100km* route across the Malta Channel, from Punta Braccetto, Sicily to St. Julian’s Bay, Malta, at 0515 local time this morning.
Agius, who represented Malta in the 2004 Olympics (400m Freestyle), completed an unprecedented 69.5km circumnavigation swim around Malta in July 2018. He has declared MSF Rules for this swim, and the intention to apply for MSF Documented Swims ratification.
