The Marathon Swimmers Federation announced five finalists for the 8th edition of its Solo Swim of the Year award (covering swims in the 2019 calendar year):
- Cameron Bellamy – Barbados to St. Lucia
- Sarah Ferguson – Around Easter Island
- Jessi Harewicz – Strait of Georgia, Nanaimo to Vancouver
- Becca Mann – “Maui Nui” triangle (Maui-Molokai-Lanai-Maui)
- Sarah Thomas – 4-way English Channel
The five finalists were selected by a vote of MSF members and contributors, from an initial list of 17 nominees. The final vote for Solo Swim of the Year is open to any verified marathon swimmer. For further details and to register to vote, go to marathonswimmers.org/awards/2019/solo
